Have You Seen Him? 58-Year-Old Missing After Leaving Home On Long Island

Police are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a man who went missing after he left a relative’s home on Long Island.

Fifty-eight-year-old Michael Dotzler is missing after he left a relative's house in Wantagh on Wednesday, Jan. 17, police said.

Michael Dotzler, age 58, was last seen on Wednesday, Jan. 17, according to Nassau County Police and the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.

He was spotted first on N Chestnut Street in Massapequa at 4:30 p.m.; then, at around 10:40 p.m. that night, NCPD said he left a relative’s house on Poulson Street in Wantagh.

Now, authorities said information indicates Dotzler may be in the Point Lookout area.

Additionally, he is listed as a vulnerable adult who may be confused and in need of medical attention.

Dotzler is 5-foot-10 and weighs about 170 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a baseball cap, a dark blue bomber jacket, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
